Awana is a nondenominational kid's club committed to teach boys and girls the
gospel of Christ. Each week, more than one million boys and girls in over 110 countries
attend Awana clubs where they play games, memorize Bible verses and listen to Bible
stories. From preschool to fifth grade, children have fun while being taught the Word of God.
Each week, at River of Life, a 90-minute session features four segments: Game Time,
Hand-book Time, Small Group Time and Council Time. During Game Time kids play games that
encourage them to share with each other and to value friendship. In Handbook time, children
work through age -appropriate handbooks memorizing Bible verses and doing activities
ranging from patriotism to community service. They earn awards based on their work.
Small Group Time is a time set aside for kids and leader to pray together, talk about what
God is doing in their lives and grow closer to one another and to God. The final segment,
Council Time, consists of singing, puppets, Bible stories and lessons based on Christian principles.
It's a great year at Awana! We are having lots of fun! Every month we have a new theme
that our games, activities and council time follow. We have special activity nights where we
learn a new craft or skill. Save the shares you earn with your memory work to buy fun stuff in
the Awana Store. Bring your friends to share in the fun!
